UTTERLY DEVASTATING
This is so powerful and gut wrenching. I had a really hard time in certain episodes where I had to pause because the shock, tears and anxiety were too much. These stories are tragic and haunting and I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma and torture these survivors, once helpless children, had to endure. The strength and courage they have to share their past lives is truly amazing and the resilience to heal and teach is very inspiring. We must all come together to learn and understand what the residential schools have done to the Indigenous people. It is absolutely disgusting! Justice and peace needs to be found! The guise of “religion” on top of all this is so infuriating and sickening. The Catholic Church is corrupt, period. It’s no secret, and the fact they continue on as if the Church is sacred is a joke. The actual good people that exist need to speak up and stand against what is going on and has been for centuries. Much love, comfort and peace to all those who have suffered at the hands of these heinous monsters that took part in any shape or form of the residential schools.

Both seasons of this podcast are beautifully written and reported. As someone who grew up in Saskatchewan, the stories are all too familiar and tragic. Thank you for sharing your story with the world.
