A young neglected and scorned step-child, a magical Fairy patron, a pumpkin coach, a rat coachman, mice, horses, and a glass slipper. This is another version of the tale that pre-dates the Brothers Grimm by over a century! This French literary version was the first to combine most of the elements we think of today.
