Marc Martin is an award-winning artist and picture book author and illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. Having trained and worked as a graphic designer, his moonlighting as an illustrator eventually led him to a successful freelance career. Marc draws inspiration from his surroundings, nature, animals, and the city he lives in. His book A River was awarded a Best Illustrated Picture Book by the New York Times in 2017. The art in Marc's books fills both the eyes and minds of big and little readers.
