Wonderful Podcast! Listening with kids
Faith- thank you for this lovely podcast! I am “reading” it with the kids in our middle school carpool every afternoon. The moment they get in the car, before the doors are even shut, they ask me to hit play. Some days I don’t even get an answer to “how was school?”! It took a few chapters for our boy rider to come around, but now he is hooked. My daughter has declared it her new favorite book and wants to read even more classics now. While they are both avid readers, this podcast has absolutely launched them into a new realm. This has erased any intimidation of the more advanced victorian era classics they might have had. Along the way they have made connections to other books which has been fun — Frances Hodgson Burnett’s books greased the skids for sure. Your explanations of vocab words and added historical context have been so helpful and we are all learning. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next! They also pass along their thanks 🩷.

Faith has such a pleasant voice for reading stories! It really feels like story time. Just the thing for an evening at home in bad weather. Please keep it up.

Faith has quickly become a welcome visitor in my home. She’s an enchanting story lady with a gift to transform the modern world into a fantasy retreat. I always wanted to understand the classics. Today, I feel there is hope in accomplishing that goal. Thank you, Faith!

I love classic literature, but I have always had a hard time reading Elizabethan novels if I’ve already seen the movies. This is calm, but engaging and a great pace for me to listen along! I love her as the voice of Jane Eyre!
