Literature lover already; new to this!
This was the first podcast I have ever experienced. I am pleased that I did so. Thanks to the mysteries of social media algorithms, I recently saw Faith’s post on X (announcing this idea) and promptly decided to ask my daughter for her well-read copy of Jane Eyre and participate in the endeavor. Literature is fantastic, I have always loved it, but I’ve never read Jane Eyre: this was a chance to do something fun, educational, participatory, and new. You should listen to this podcast, and read the book, too! I read chapter 1 today while waiting to pick up a kid from school, before I listened to the podcast. But that preparation is not necessary. During the podcast, Faith will read each chapter to you. She has a lovely voice, warm and kind. She articulates the text nicely, reading the words for those who are unable to do so - or maybe prefer to hear Faith’s commentary interspersed with the narration at challenging passages of text. The first episode is 18 minutes, with perhaps 5 minutes of introduction to the process of weekly podcasts, and 12-13 minutes of delightful reading. This is a superb way to spend 18 minutes. It is time spent connecting with other people, and with a novel that has survived and thrived since it was first published in 1847. Like me, you will be glad to proceed week-by-week and chapter-by-chapter with other like-minded literary adventurers, capably narrated by Faith K. Moore. Highly recommended.

More reviews of Storytime for Grownups
This intro into an author I haven’t read before has got me interested in literature again. I had just been reading and listening to my personal favorites, but this and the family has me looking at classics again. Thanks

I really enjoyed the book. Your narration is great. My preference would be for you to explain the chapter at the end. It is a bit confusing to hear the explanations while you are narrating though. It is hard to tell sometimes when the book ends and narration begins. I miss Ben Shapiro’s book...Read full review »

I’m coming from Young Heretics where I heard your brother mention your podcast, and from Andrew Klavan (no relation) I think I’m going to like this podcast. I’ve read Jane Eyre in the past, but I like listening to you read it and hearing some of your commentary to the storyline. I like that you...Read full review »
