Thanks for helping me understand classics
I was a police officer in Cincinnati in the late 60’s, early 70’s in a neighborhood called the Over The Rhine. During the sometimes boring Night Shift patrols I would often wonder what life was really like when these places were built around the time when Jane Eyre was written. This podcast is helping me to understand what life was like then. Thanks for that! Also, your comments along the way are very helpful. Often, while reading a classic, which doesn’t happen often. I will keep a dictionary close to help me to understand. Your comments make that unnecessary. Thanks for that!

Reading on my own I would have skimmed over a large portion of this writing (especially the French) and never know what I missed. This has been a delight to understand everything in its full context

Faith is the best! I've never even seriously considered reading Jane Eyre before now, but I'm already hooked. This format is absolutely terrific.Read full review »

I appreciate the side notes to explain words and phrases used during that time period, saving me time from having to look them up...Read full review »
