STR Virtual Symposium: The Relevance of Formal Theoretical Work in Strategy
Listen now
Description
This symposium will focus on the relevance of formal theoretical work and its importance for the field of strategic management. We will discuss how such work can speak to and have impact and relevance for practice. And whether and how that matters?   You will hear from leading scholars Christina Fang (New York University), Mike Ryall (Florida Atlantic University), Phebo Wibbens (INSEAD) that all work with developing formal models and theory in strategic management. Martin Reeves (Managing Director and Senior Partner at the Boston Consulting Group) will also join the discussion and share his views on how practice utilizes formal theoretical work in strategic management.   The session is organized and hosted by Koen Heimeriks (Warwick Business School) and Louise Mors (Copenhagen Business School).   (c) STR - Strategic Management Division - AOM
