STR Symposium: Publishing with Non-US Data in Strategy and Management Journals
Listen now
Description
This virtual research symposium will facilitate discussions and provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities for scholars interested in publishing their research using non-US data in top-tier management journals. While some scholars encounter challenges in theorizing and justifying the use of non-US data, others emphasize that robust theories should apply to any context, be it the US or non-US. The primary focus of the discussion is to address these issues and explore ways in which scholars may overcome the "outsidership" and develop an optimal distinct approach for publishing with non-US data.   You will hear from leading scholars Pursey Heugens (Erasmus University), Elena Kulchina (North Carolina State University), and Kevin Zhou (University of Hong Kong), all renowned for their substantial experience in publishing with non-US data.   This session is organized and hosted by Cecilia Gu (Georgia State University) and Fabrice Lumineau (University of Hong Kong).   (c) STR - Strategic Management Division - AOM
