Too cynical
The positives of this show is how well produced it is and I thought the voice actors did a great job. But Toby is so cynical that it made me wonder why he even bothered to make this if the best he can do is start and end with the exact same limited thinking and assumptions. He uses the same tired material science to support his cynicism and doesn’t even bother to explain how there’re aren’t any real extensive serious studies that have been done on dreams and recall to even warrant the general dismissal that is the general consensus in academia. This whole podcast is a bit of a bummer

Something that is missing from a lot of ET and paranormal documentaries is healthy skeptism. I may think it’s a lot more fun to believe in these things, but I certainly appreciate the measured and factual presentation of this show. Solid work.
