My Very Favorite Podcast!
Travel and books — what could be better (anytime, but especially now). I thoroughly enjoy the fascinating information, the repartee (such enjoyable hosts!), the wonderful book recommendations and discussion, and all the extras — both on the podcast and the show notes which contain full transcripts and all kinds of bonus material: other books mentioned, videos, music. This is just great. I love every bit of it — except the jarring intro music (or drums or whatever it is). I hit fast forward a couple of times at the very beginning to avoid the awful noise. (Maybe at least turn it down a bit?)

More reviews of Strong Sense of Place
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite podcasts (and I listen to a ton!). These two speak so easily together, I love the format, and every single book they recommend I want to add to my TBR list. So happy I found Strong Sense of Place!

Mel and David offer amazing stories, insights, books, and (on their blog) recipes all tied into world destinations that excite the mind and spirit. Their passion for travel and literature is infectious!

Great concept for a podcast! Two American ex-pats in Europe explore places through their literature. Also, they occasionally expand “a sense of place” to include universal experiences like circuses and train rides! Very entertaining!! I look forward to every episodes
