Too much host!
I’m so sorry to be negative - I know how much hard work would go into making this podcast. There is just far, far too much laughing. Ricky Gervais is brilliant at all he does, and he’s such a generous guest, but he’s not being that funny here. As in, he’s not setting out to entertain, to make us laugh. And yet the presenter laughs and laughs to such an extent, it’s really distracting. Maybe the moral is - don’t interview your heroes. Especially when you’ve set this up as “the best interview Ricky has ever done” (I know that was the original one, but the inference is this is going to be as good). Again, sorry to be negative.

More reviews of Stuff Of Legends with Christian O’Connell
Calling any of the guests legends is definitely pushing it. A lot of the episodes come across as pandering to egos and even though it’s meant to be light hearted, it just comes across as Christian laughing along with anything that gets said, that isn’t remotely funny.

A wonderful heartwarming chat with Russell Brand. A great first chat, just the thing we need in these times. Look forward to hearing many more.

The premise of the show is simple yet thought provoking. The guests share bits of their lives through 3 possessions. It leads to learning more than the typical chat. It also makes you think. What three possessions would I choose and why.
