KJ, Meredith, and Elayna (Saving People, Queering Things) host a summit on a character entirely unique to this season, and that is Bela Talbot. After a brief interlude to talk about that one angel that doesn’t even go here yet, they get to business talking about Supernatural’s best business woman! Along with Bela’s storyline, they also cover the role female characters play on Supernatural and the precedence this set for future characters. Also Elayna defends her love for season three, and why...

Sam and Dean are in a tricky situation and KJ, Meredith, Nick, and Moira are here to berate the writers (looking at you Sera Gamble) for their handling of Winchester FBI File Holder Victor Henriksen. Ruby’s back, Sam’s bad at communications, and it’s our first time meeting Lilith. Everyone’s weird about sexual experiences, and there’s a loud speaker!
CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean break into Bela's apartment in order to get the Colt back, but she has tipped off Agent Henriksen(guest...

“Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time”
This podcast is back from the near-death caused by the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike to talk about an episode of Supernatural where Dean just cannot stop dying. KJ, Meredith, Jenn, and Chi gathered to talk about Mystery Spot. We take a quick minute to talk about a writer who didn’t write this episode and wasn’t credited at all in any way with it. Then we have to make a tough decision about what this means for the Death Count segment. We also...

KJ, Meredith, August (Saving People Queering Things), and Beth (Raising Winchesters) are here to talk about everyone’s favorite dad-Bobby Singer. KJ tells an anecdote about unmonitored internet access during their childhood, and tries to convince the squad that Bobby should’ve murdered John Winchester and kept his children. It’s the first look at Demon Dean, Bobby’s dead wife Karen, a truly cruel move by Sam to save the day, and Bela’s here to be the ultimate boss babe.

KJ, Meredith, and Whiskey are REALLY excited to talk about witches. So excited that EVERYONE has something to share in this week’s mythology section. In other news, Dean and Ruby have finally met, Sam drives an irreparable wedge between himself and his brother, and KJ weighs the pros and cons of selling their soul for witchcraft.
CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean travel to Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and discover a coven of witches that has killed two people. Ruby warns the brothers to...

KJ and Meredith are joined by KJ’s Series of Opinions cohost Moira and Mary (Carrying Wayward) to talk about Supernatural, as well as another show that aired a pilot on September 13, 2005-Bones. Based on the life and crime fiction novels of Kathy Reichs, Bones is a crime procedural that follows Dr. Temperance Brennan and her team of scientists in helping FBI Agent Seeley Booth solve murders where the remains are particularly degraded. These two shows have a surprising amount in common, from...

KJ and Meredith are hosting a slightly emotionally damaging holiday party with Jordan and Jeremy (Monster of the Week and Still His Kingdom Keeps). Small Sam and Dean are being neglected by John (big surprise), and Adult Sam and Dean are facing down their last Christmas together. Our monsters this week are frighteningly polite but that doesn’t stop them from trying to eat our favorite monster hunters. Jeremy shares some old MOTW notes, Meredith shares some history of the word pagan, and the...

KJ and Meredith are joined by long-time guest Frances, as well as Meredith’s sister Audrey for the conclusion of Gordon’s storyline. If we had a nickel for every time a former Buffy actress played a vampire in a Gordon episode, we’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that this time KJ’s seen all of BTVS. It’s also a Bela episode, and Sam and Dean have *checks notes* their 100th fight about Dean’s deal this season. At least this one leads to actual communication.

KJ and Meredith team up with Driver Picks The Podcast and Thief Steals the Podcast co-hosts Beth and Jamie to talk about Bela (and probably also the rest of this episode, if there’s time left over). There’s cross-continental education on the term “Sheila”, public water fountains, international minimum wage, as well as rock salt bullet physics, Sam’s hair, and whether or not Dean is considered to be legally dead.
CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean investigate the mysterious demise of drowned...

Despite gathering some lovers of fairytales, this episode failed to impress KJ or their guests-Meredith, Nick, and Audrey. However Meredith did give us a great lesson on the Grim Brothers, everyone writes a happy ending for two characters most harmed in the course of this episode, and Audrey and KJ do double-takes at the Demi Lovato look-alike in this episode. Also too many Into The Woods references are made, cause, you know, fairytales!

KJ, Meredith, Nick, and August (Saving People, Queering Things and Wayward Parents) team up to talk about character deaths. Along the way they try to remember the many, MANY, ways Sam and Dean Winchester have shuffled off this mortal coil. Turns out-it’s ACTUALLY hard to remember how many times a member of Team Free Will has bit the dust. Also we talk episodes that handled character death well, versus episodes that…did not. We talk about the impact of death to the audience, fridging, and bury...

KJ and Meredith are continuing their way though season three, hoping to one day reach a season with Castiel in it-so they’re joined by Ella and Ilse from The Cas Cast-a Supernatural podcast all about Castiel. In the absence of Castiel, the team is left to discuss Sam’s awkward B&E, and the very important question of where does the sulphur left behind from demons come from? And Meredith shares an idea for a fanfic based on this episode!

Today’s topic is good luck vs bad luck, and KJ and Meredith are lucky enough to be joined by podcasting duo Beth and Jamie of Driver Picks The Podcast (and Thief Steals The Podcast, and in Beth’s case, KJ’s cohost on Wayward Parents). There’s a new recurring character this week and KJ’s bisexual thirst-ometer is getting some off the charts readings. Beth and Jamie raise some questions about where Sam’s soccer trophy came from. KJ needs Gordon to take a step back from her boy, Sammy. And...

A full house of Supernatural podcasters this week!
