Description
The 9th episode of our "Day-In-The-Life of a Supply Chain Professional" podcast series!
In this episode, we interview Frank Boxley. Frank is a Planning Manager at Mersen.
Frank has worked in planning for 4.5 years. His mentor suggested him to do so as he has an accounting background, sales experience, and data analysis skills. His hard skills are data analysis, opportunity cost modeling, and market implications understanding. His objective is to facilitate financial goals through a comprehensive manufacturing plan.
Frank's day-to-day tasks include understanding and monitoring key variables, adjusting the manufacturing plan, and working with finance, general management, sales, purchasing, quality, and customers. He enjoys using his skill set to improve financial performance and has increased the role of data in decision-making. He faces challenges such as distrust and misunderstanding of data, but he is passionate about his job.
