“The thing I love about SVP on SC and on the Pod is that he knows his stuff, has plenty of accolades to prove it, but seems like a guy I’d love to play a round of golf with and have a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich afterward.
I’ve always appreciated his insights and the nuance that he brings to the Sports discussion. It’s not always win or lose, how many rings he/she has, or who is the GOAT? The hot takes that many other shows rely on for ratings are over the top and don’t aid a good conversation. SVP brings those conversations, especially when Stanford Steve is in the room.
I have watched or listened for years, and still appreciate the humility to be grateful for where he is in the industry. And you gotta love the Bad Beats and the One Big Thing.
Keep up the good work, boys! I hope you win an Emmy. Ernie is great, but give SVP & Stanford Steve and the team their flowers.”
