At 44 years old, Matt Buyten was enjoying life as a seven-time X Games Gold Medalist with a successful FMX career behind him and a young son to raise. Tragedy struck the Texas transplant in July when he suffered a horrific crash at a Loretta Lynn's qualifier that left him paralyzed from mid-chest down.
