Umissable genre ladies!
Switchblade Sisters is one of only two podcasts that I never miss: it is *that good*. April is a fantastic interviewer and brings in a range of talented and interesting guests who, together, gush on films I love, and a whole heap I have yet to even get near (I have a Switchblade Sisters generated watchlist that is growing faster than I can work through it!) As a ‘filmhead’ I am consistently surprised by the insights generated in the interviews and never fail to learn something new: be it an interesting production tidbit from the featured film, or about the work of a guest I am being newly introduced to, or a fresh perspective on working in the film and TV industry. I love this show and highly recommend it to anyone who wants an engaging film podcast, to hear more female production voices, or is just scouring the web for the deepest genre cuts.

April Wolfe is a very insightful critic and I derive a lot of insipration from the show because they go so deeply into what makes a particular work of film work so well. I've gotten a lot of good reccomendations for newer films to watch simply by who the guests are.Read full review »
