Thank you for everything that you do for our great community. I love your podcast and I hope that you continue to produce it for a very long time. I have a comment to make about your latest episode though. It doesn’t anger me or make me hate the cast or nothing (hence the 5 stars). But, it does make me a little sad and disappointed. I used to play from 2011-2013 when I was a poor college student. But even as such, I was able to pool together with some like-minded, Pokémon driven people and although I went to very few events, at some point my CP were good enough to be ranked among the best in the USA. I had to stop playing due to faulting and responsibilities but have in the last couple of years come back to the game with ambition once again. I find that it’s a very different game and the social media and content creation aspect of it has impacted it so much. Many say that it is harder to win nowadays. That might be true. But, one thing remains the same: One of the most important aspects, and one very little talked about, or getting better at the game is taking the information that us out there and discerning good for bad and finding what works for you the best. That has not changed. And, that is a skill that I think is as important to success now as it was before. Needless to say you all have been a big part of the information that I have digested since I started playing again in 2020. I still have to discern and find what works best for me from what you say but I happen to think you all are some of the best information out there. And, you all are definitely the best podcast. You all have played some part and improving TV my game again and I thank you for that. I have Top 16 at Players Cup IV. My biggest accomplishment since coming back (of course no irl tourneys) and I thank you for the part you’ve played in that. Even if I don’t advance and lose terribly this is a huge milestone for me. My disappointment comes from the lack of recognition in your podcast. I might not care so much if no names had been mentioned. But only the names of the people who are renowned were mentioned. Yeah they’re great players. But here I am, possibly like others, a person who has rebuilt their identity and skill partially following you all….a part of your community….accomplishing something that many renowned names couldn’t, and yet they are the ones that gain the spotlight. I know celio did a Top 256 video acknowledging players and I didn’t participate. I don’t EXPECT acknowledgement. But to me you all are kinda like the people’s podcast, always giving tips for new players and hearing you all only give credit to a handful of players when there is only 16 players on the list frankly….kinda hurt. Sorry for being a wuss about this. Just thought I’d share my opinion since you mentioned to do so in order to improve. Thank you again. I partially owe this one to you.

I’d been looking for a Pokémon trading card game podcast for a while before finding Tag Team, but it is well worth the hunt. Riley and JW manage a rare feat: insightful, high-level meta analysis which experienced players will appreciate, but presented in such a friendly and inclusive manner that...Read full review »
