Amazing intro to Talmud for beginners
I grew up in a conservative house, went to hebrew school, jewish summer camp, the whole 9 yards. As an adult I can only read hebrew with the vowels and I have almost no hebrew vocabulary. I only go to synagogue on high holy days. I was always interested in learning more about my religion but it was intimidating. I almost never heard about Talmud except in passing and it seemed like something reserved for extremely religious old men. I didn’t know where to turn for an introduction. This podcast has been amazing for me. I didn’t know what Daf Yomi was before we started, I had never even heard those words. Thank you for making it simple enough for me but not dumbing it down. I feel like I’m getting bits of jewish spirituality I can apply in my daily life while gaining a greater appreciation for my culture, history and religion. You are amazing!!!

Take one makes the Talmud relevant for contemporary living and that’s quite a feat when digesting the discussions of 4th Century...Read full review »
