Description
“Make sure that whatever you create is scalable, whether up or down.”
-Krista Clark
Have you ever implemented a wonderful program that you worked incredibly hard on - and then were dismayed later on (after months? years?) when it became apparent that it was no longer making the grade? It’s easy to let things be as they are, and yet that’s how opportunities get missed. Listen to this episode for some common-sense inspiration on becoming more consistently agile and responsive to changing needs.
My guest is Krista Clark who is Talent Leader at Liberty Utilities. Krista is responsible for anything talent - from succession planning to leadership development and has had a busy year rolling out some major talent programs. Previously, she built her deep knowledge of talent management across various industries ranging from tech to aviation to consulting to retail. She enjoys problem solving and figuring out how to support and equip the leaders in her organization.
In this episode of Talent Management Truths, you’ll discover:
🍏 How to ensure leaders and employees are getting what they need in terms of learning - in a way that suits them and the environment in which they work
🍏 How to create a “buzz” gradually around the value of the Talent department and get buy-in
🍏 Why it’s critical to help employees take ownership of their own careers and learning
About Krista Clark: A creative problem solver when it comes to talent, Krista helps organizations create talent strategies and then identify, develop and promote people while keeping it simple. Having fallen into talent and L&D early in her career, she became passionate about helping leaders develop themselves, their teams and ultimately making their workplaces inclusive and productive where people can bring their best selves every day. Recently started in the utilities space, she is excited to see the possibilities in helping foster talent to help drive the future of Liberty.
