We talk about how free parties and festivals joined with the emerging rave movement in the 90's in the UK as well as the rise of a wide variety of autonomous sound systems. We also discuss how a network of events across Europe and beyond allowed the promotion of underground music through a DIY scene reminiscent of punk in the 1970's.
