If you're working on your next novel or screenplay, this is the episode for you. This week on TFTB we sit down with  award-winning novelist, playwright, and screenwriter, Joel Fishbane.  In addition to being a celebrated author, Joel is also a story analyst who assists writers and studios in developing screenplays. Joel gives us some advice on developing a good story, on navigating the industry as a full-time writer, and some pitfalls to avoid. Joel is best known for his novel The Thunder of Giants, and more than fifty works of short fiction and non-fiction published, all in a variety of genres. His Sci-fi and speculative fiction work has appeared in "On Spec", "Tall Tale TV", "Abandon", "Metastellar" with forthcoming work slated to appear in "Penumbric" and "The Magazine of Sci-Fi and Fantasy". He has been honored in numerous competitions, including the BBC International Radio Playwriting Contest,  and the Fratti-Newman Political Playwriting Contest. His feature film "The Composers" is in active development with Animal Mother Films.
