Dez Loreen (aka Eskimofo) is the founder of Totally Arctic Wrestling! He’s also one of the featured wrestlers in The Death Tour documentary that came out this year. Dez explains how he got involved in the doc, why he decided to do it, and what he thought about his experience on Tony Condello’s infamous death tour, a grueling trek through Canada’s indigenous communities in the far North. Dez also shares the incredible story of Totally Arctic Wrestling which he started in his hometown of Inuvik. He talks about the first ring they had when they started in 2019, how he rallied the community behind him, how they managed to keep going through COVID, and the role YouTube played in their success. He talks about his mentor Mad Dog Marty Sugar, the one seminar Marty held as training before TAW’s first-ever show, and how they’ve managed to recruit and develop talent from outside Inuvik.
