“UPDATE: The pandemic and protests exposed Mike as a know-nothing blowhard. Bad production quality plus really bad takes = not a show worth listening to anymore. No wonder Metsmerized dumped him.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Mike does a pretty good show and I must admit I listen regularly. Always a good and timely topic.
Some critiques:
- it’s a podcast but Mike conducts the show like it is a radio show. For instance, he repeats the same things over and over again during each episode, as if the listener is potentially coming in and out and not listening to the whole show. He also says “we’re going to take a quick break” as if he is going to actually take a break and run ads. But all he does is insert a promo. I’d be fine with paid ads FYI.
- the production quality is mixed. The front part sounds good usually. The interviews are often of much lesser quality. Not just the guest on the phone but also Mike himself
- Mike usually sounds credible. Except when he mispronounces very common baseball names. For instance, it’s Por-sell-o not Por-chell-o. Painful to hear Mike repeat his name 10 times in an episode.
- the cover art for this podcast is so ghetto. Please upgrade.”

“Mike can’t keep his political opinions off the show. He lectures listeners about being lectured by other people. It’s weird and not what I want to hear on baseball podcast. As a die hard Mets fan, sorry man.”
