“I am an unlikely listener. I tend to like fangraphs/ heavily analytical podcasts more than “opinion” style podcast. (Although most baseball podcasts pretty much rely on some form of opinion no matter how deeply reliant on analytics they are for their analysis). Mike doesn’t reject analytics, but he also marries human personality, heart, history and facts with his assessments. I think that’s all you can really ask for right? I like this podcast bc it balances out my studying of the game. But he’s no dummy and doesn’t reject new age information. Plus his guests are who you’d want on a mets podcast. Normally don’t give 5 stars but I reserve that for the really professional podsters out there and he is one of them.”
