“The analytics for this podcast are very, very strong. Jomboy and Jake are 5-tool guys who matchup great with both left and right earred listeners. These are not guys that you would ever consider DFA’ing for Shane Robinson.
The best ability is availability and Jomboy carries a plus tool here with his gamely periscopes. With the beard of a grizzled vet, this is a guy you can add to your locker room and he’ll earn the respect of rookies and adoration from the elderly(tell ‘em grandma). He won’t wow you with his arm but what he lacks in skill he makes up for with his nickname. Jomboy is not a guy you will need to worry about wearing “D.Dawg” during players weekend. Cohost Jake is the epitome of a team-first guy. Short in stature, scouts question his ability to ride a bike but that just means he walks more. Think Ronald Torreyes with a higher OBP. His inability to use phrases beyond “This, that, and the other” have made him a boring postgame interviewee, but find me a Yankee captain from the past 10 seasons that hasn’t used brief statements to handle the media. His giggles and impressions behind the scenes are an ideal fit for this style of podcasting. Jomboy and Jake can play for my team any day of the week.”
