It proves your statement, fine a mentor in the business. It took me a bit longer because I didn’t have a mentor. However; I was just as determine as you. 21 years to Alaska. You could say my path to Alaska was series of reactions to life changing events. I reacted and took advantage of those events in life. My path was more like that old game Pin Ball. So I call it the pin ball method. Every time the ball (me) hit an event I reacted. Lucky for me my reactions got me closer to my gold. Like you I had many people and originations that help me. You can’t do it along. Just to name a few that come mind, Busing Board of education, OBAP, Milson Alaska, Aaron UPS, Betty Alaska, and in 1997 you Mike S. Chief pilot Alaska.
