A good reminder that art is subjective
I would’ve thought that an episode featuring Sucker Punch would get pitted against Inception, but Into the Spider-verse also makes sense. Sucker Punch is one of the most underrated movies ever and it was great to hear points about what makes it one of the most creative, if not all-time greatest, movies ever made. The only other episode I’ve heard so far is the MI: Fallout vs XXX: Return of Xander Cage, and I’m very surprised she found it boring. I guess you can’t win over everyone. I definitely love the idea of highlighting an under appreciated movie, but if you’re a fan of a movie that’s pitted against one of those getting highlighted and not the other way around it could definitely be hard to listen to. But if you keep an open mind, not only will it give you someone else’s perspective but also widen your horizons to give a different movie a chance.
