With a career spanning decades, he has collaborated with notable artists like King Crimson, Tony Levin, Steve Morse, and Terry Bozzio. Murphy is also recognized for his work in progressive rock, experimental, and world music, along with his expertise in recording techniques. Beyond his production work, he is a founder of the Recording Boot Camp, where he teaches advanced music production and recording techniques to aspiring producers.
