The two had dated for three years, but their relationship ended in February 2023 after an alleged assault by Blake. The day before Natalie's murder, they argued over her texting another man. Blake was arrested two days later, suspected of strangling Natalie. The community mourned Natalie's vibrant spirit, and Blake's bond hearing sparked outrage as the judge set a $150,000 bond, emphasizing Blake's non-violent history. Blake will be on house arrest, wear an ankle monitor, and undergo a mental evaluation due to concerns about self-harm and potential suicidal tendencies.
