Techbuzz still has its mojo
I wrote a review for Techbuzz China before on another platform when it was only about 12 episodes in. Now we are at episode 47 I figured it would be worthwhile to do a followup review here. I am still quite pleased and satisfied with the depth of each episode. Ying-Ying Lu and Rui Ma continually prove that they take their research seriously and presents it to us listeners carefully. The nebulous thing we often refer to as the Chin tech industry has many moving parts and I am amazed at the bredth of sub-industries covered by Techbuzz. I have a personal preference for the finance focused episodes. But there are some themese that I had no idea I would mind interesting; most recently Ep.44 focused on So-Young and the social cosmetics industry. I found that fascinating. Sometimes Ying-Ying and Rui interject that a particular episode may be running too long but I think this is seldom true. I would assume that people listening to this podcast are up for as deep a dive as your can take. I sure am. Maybe I have gotton use to the hour long episodes elsewhere on the SupChina network. As someone who has listened to this podcast literally from the second week it was launched I have and continue to recommend this podcast without reservation.

I know a lot about China but every time I listen to this podcast I learn something new. I learned so much on that deep dive on Pinduoduo! The podcast hosts are incredibly hardworking and it shows, because the final product is polished, fact-checked, and worth your time. Put this in your ears!

A great weekly podcast that provides insight into Chinese tech that you don't see from most mainstream media sources (which is the strength of the entire Sinica network IMO). I'm always impressed on how the hosts seem to fit in so much interesting and engaging content into such short...Read full review »
