On December 1st, 1948, the body of an unidentified man was found on the Somerton Beach outside of Adelaide Australia. Despite conducting a thorough investigation that garnered much media attention, the authorities were never able to identify the man and cause of death. In 2022 a professor from the University Of Adelaide conducted a DNA test that was finally able to identify the man.
