Teresa Rodríguez first covered the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting in the Feburary 27th episode of Stories Beyond the Headlines. Anthony Borges, a 15-year-old student was then in critical condition. He was shot five times while barricading a classroom door. Anthony was protecting his classmates from the gunman, preventing him from entering the classroom. Joining Teresa on this episode is Alex Arreaza, the attorney representing Anthony and his family in the first lawsuit to come out of the Parkland shooting.
