“The thing I love about Iszi Lawrence is her unabashed enthusiasm for her topics. Many of the other podcasters I listen to are cool, or intelligent, or argumentative; Iszi is a fangirl. A fangirl for Paleontology!
As in her other podcasts, she is funny and smart and intellectually engaging, but is her joyful enthusiasm that sets her work apart.
Not to slight Dave Hone, though I get the impression that he is not used to a show about his field being this much fun.
I am writing this in the summer of 2020, when the need for smart, funny people talking about something other than the pandemic is great. This has been my go to podcast for long drives and long tasks.
