“I tried to describe this podcast to a friend at work and failed miserably, but that is a huge part of its oblique charm.
There are a lot of ‘Why?’s surrounding Texting Keith Olbermann, and at the end of its tantalisingly short six episodes, few of them are resolved. And yet somehow, the composite parts of this tense, original tale of a burgeoning and unlikely media friendship, combine to create something entirely charming and thought-provoking. It is both a mediation on the disparate climates of UK and US news broadcasting, and a strange but heartfelt paean for a capricious news anchor. It’s also very funny.
