Our latest episode of the Showcast from the 2024 AVP Summit features TFV's Matt Micucci in conversation with Jacopo Chessa, head of the Veneto Film Commission, one of the most important film commissions in the country. Chessa offers an overview of his film commission's many activities, from nurturing audiovisual talent to promoting the region's potential and benefits on an international level. In addition, he also talks about some of the more recent notable film productions that have been filmed in Veneto and discusses some of the more forward-thinking initiatives that it has embraced. Following up on that, Chessa offers his thoughts on the current moment of the audiovisual sector at large and whether Italy has been quick to respond to rising technological innovations, particularly when compared to other territories around the world.
