Description
When I learned the chronological history of the Bible I found it easier to remember the events through the lives of the women we find in the Bible. The first person to start with is Eve, obviously. The next woman I point to after Sarah, Abraham's wife, is Rahab. Rahab was living in a city that was the last city the Israelites needed to enter into the promise land again. She believed in God, saved two Israelite spies and asked to be spared when her city comes to destruction. Her story is told to us in Joshua 2 & 6. We also find her mentioned in the New Testament book, Hebrews 11:31. The biggest take away from the life of Rahab is that we shouldn't put faith in our back ground, culture, family, or the identity we build for ourselves, but in the God of the heavens and earth.
