Have you heard the phrase "You Are Enough"? It's all over Pinterest. I am not going to lie... I don't hate it. It comes from a good place. But I would argue that it doesn't work. Take a look at our Psalm 119:59 verse this week:
Psalm 119: 59, "When I think on my ways, I turn my feet to your testimonies."
The Psalmist looked at their ways and found themselves lacking. They turned their steps towards His Word. Let's look at God's Word and see what it says.
Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:9, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."
Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Those verses are just a few examples in God’s Word. He is enough. You don't have to be. He will guide you — just turn your feet towards His Word.
