Charming and Funny!
I discovered this podcast while scrolling through Reels on Instagram. Mary Clay seemed like my kind of person and someone I would love to be friends with based off of her reels, so when I discovered she had a podcast I had to listen! MC is such a fun and witty host, and I really enjoy the guests she has on each week! I love the feeling of reading the stories for the first time again, and even though I’m super behind (I’ll get to listen to the reviews of the Hobbit movies as they are released), I’m still really enjoying her predictions, reactions, etc as she reads through the series! The only criticism I would have is I wish she hadn’t stated the spoilers she knew about, just in case there were first time readers reading along with her! But I don’t think that was at all intentional, and we are definitely well past the statute of limitations on spoilers with this series! Keep up the great work, MC! I really look forward to what you have in store after the Hobbit movies! I’d love to hear you read through the Silmarillion (it might help me understand what in the Shire that book is about!)

Been relistening to the back catalogue and just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying this. It helps me get my LoTR fix without needing to read the books and trudge through the council of Elrond. Love hearing the different guests each week (and the recurring guests too!) Happy 2 year...Read full review »

I’m currently binging this series and it’s so much fun to hear about these books from a newcomers perspective.
