Darrin, a Tasmanian football product, made his way to the Hawthorn Football Club via the inaugural 1986 VFL Draft with pick 26. Darrin made an immediate impression in the brown and gold, featuring in 211 games over his ten year career. Darrin was a valuable memberĀ of three Hawthorn premiership teams and was a three-time Tasmanian State of Origin captain.
In this episode, Darrin chats about how he joined the Hawthorn Football Club, the emotional roller-coaster week leading into the 1987 Grand Final, the three premiership wins, playing State of Origin Football for Tasmania, breaking his leg in 1995 and playing alongside some of the greatest mullets the game has seen.
