Description
This week we go back in time with former Melbourne and West Coast midfielder Andy Lovell. Andy reminisces about his career, reflects on some of his favourite moments and people in the game. Andy, a proud Tasmanian football product, was recruited by the Melbourne Football Club for the 1988 VFL season. He played 22 games in his debut season, including the 1988 Grand Final against Hawthorn. During his 8 year stint with the Demons, he played 121 games and kicked 146 goals. In 1996, Andy made the move to the West Coast Eagles, spending a further three seasons with the royal blue and gold, playing 43 games. In this episode, Andy talks about moving to Victoria to pursue his AFL dream, his debut year of 1988, the difficulty of the 1991 season, his eight goal haul against Richmond, moving to West Coast and his extensive AFL coaching experiences.
