This week we go back in time with former Geelong and Port Adelaide forward Shayne Breuer. Shayne reminisces about his career, reflects on some of his favorite moments and people in the game.
Shayne, a Wimmera Football product, was drafted by the Geelong Cats in the 1993 AFL National Draft with pick 70, after a standout season in the SANFL. Shayne played three seasons in the hoops, playing a total of 71 games including the 1994 and 1995 AFL Grand Finals. He then ventured to Port Adelaide as an inaugural squad member, playing three seasons and 54 games.
In this episode, Shayne talks about his unexpected drafting to Geelong, being a regular fixture in a very strong Geelong squad, playing alongside Gazza, moving to Port Adelaide, kicking the first ever goal for the Power and playing in the showdowns.
