This week we go back in time with former West Coast and Melbourne forward, along with NFL punter Darren Bennett. Darren reminisces about his career, reflects on some of special moments during his time in the game.
Darren, a Western Australian native, lined up with the West Coast Eagles in their inaugural year of 1987. He spent only season at the Eagles before being drafted by Melbourne, playing 74 games between 1989 and 1993. Darren then went over to the USA and carved out a 159-game career in the NFL with San Diego and Minnesota.
In this chat, Darren talks about his inaugural year with Eagles, his knee injury in the late 80's, being recruited to Melbourne and playing forward, his unbelievable 1990 season up forward, leaving to play American Football and his fondest moments in the NFL.
