Entertaining and Educational
Politics can seem like a daunting area to start to follow. When can you say you officially “follow politics”? In some ways, I feel like I know next to nothing. Ask me to form an opinion on some large scale political issue with deep-seated tensions on either side and I’ll say, “Let me do some research for 10 years and get back to you.” But this show makes politics - at least Ontario politics - approachable, tangible, and relatable. Topic selection doesn’t seem cherry-picked, catering to a specific narrative, but is broad and varied, capturing different interests. And their analyses and guests provide fair discussions from multiple perspectives. I can trust when I listen that I’m not only going to get a good dose of “what’s” going on, but also some tools and considerations that help me form my own take on “how” I should think about it.

More reviews of #onpoli, a TVO podcast
For Ontario current affairs and commentary, you’ll hardly find a better podcast than this. Steve Paikin and JMM are knowledgeable, sensible, and engaging. Easily ten times the nutritional value of the same amount consumed in mainstream news media.
