Good interview with The Agent but not a good narrator
The story as told by Barsky in the interview is very good. And I’m really enjoying the story because of it. But the narrator sounds like he’s reading from a script and is slogging his way through it. Sometimes I wonder why when there is good material like this that these companies don’t get a person to narrate who knows what they’re doing? Recently I heard a podcast called, “My Fugitive” - similar kind of story and the woman who narrated it was terrific. A great storytelling voice that was just captivating. It was such a relief listening to her when so many stories are narrated by people who are too hard to listen to. That’s the problem here. It would be good if podcast companies thought more about trying to be less amateurish and hire people like that My Fugitive lady who knows what she’s doing in narration.

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard. The storytelling is gripping and Jack’s authenticity and humility makes it even more powerful. As a huge fan of spy stories - especially The Americans- I can’t get enough of this true story.
