He is also a former player with a long and successful career in the league, so he also comes with that invaluable perspective.
Nuggets fans are already well familiar with Adam Mares, as he has been phenomenal with DNVR and on the Locked on Nuggets podcast for years now. He and DNVR have mastered local coverage in a way other major media companies have failed at. They are made up with real fans of the game, who really care about the teams and cities they are covering. Mares makes a flawless leap covering the national scene here, and it doesn’t take listening to him long to understand why a huge name like Tim Legler would jump at the opportunity to help him make that leap.
