In this episode your host and Co-Founder of PADT, Eric Miller is joined by Tyler Smith and Connor Nail from the ASU Luminosity Lab to talk about their recent presentation at Ansys Simulation World 2021. A team of students at the ASU Luminosity Lab was awarded funding from NASA to develop a system for exploration of the permanently shadowed regions of the lunar poles. Through this project titled VELOS (Variable Exploratory Lunar Observation System) the team designed, built, and conducted proof-of-concept testing to successfully validate operation of their prototype system.
