Description
Recently I was interviewed for another podcast where I talked about my time living in The Gambia, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. Although it was a very challenging experience, there were a lot of positive takeaways. One of which was not being connected to the internet 24/7, and being able to be present in the moment. The internet and social media can be great tools. With them, I've been able to connect with some incredible podcast guests and other amazing people. However, I've also observed how destructive the internet and social media could be too.
In this episode of Travel Reflections, I talk a little bit about my experience in The Gambia. As well as the value of unplugging from the modern world and moderating your use of the internet and social media. And some strategies that you can implement.
