“Hey guys!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a couple months or so and I really like it so far. In the most recent episode, y’all mentioned your confusion on why Annie was knocked out. They actually explained this in the manga, and I don’t know why they didn’t in the anime. It was a pretty interesting reason really: so originally, they were gonna use marcel and Annie as their main mobility to getting to the wall (so none of them would waste their titan power), but since Marcel got eaten my Ymir, Annie had to do it on her own. So Annie had to call all of the Titans to them, (while holding Reiner and Bert btw) but she started getting tired maybe 2/3 of the way through. They also mentioned how there were more Titans than they expected. Reiner ended up telling Annie to switch with him because she was at her breaking point... so basically Bert went and broke the wall and as soon as he was done, Reiner dropped him and Annie on top of the wall, and went and made his big appearance we saw in the first ep. hope that all made sense!
Anyways, I really enjoy listening to this podcast. Great job!
