“My dad was a US airman stationed in Kent, England at the time my mother was pregnant with me. He was an avid listener. As soon as I was born, he would carry me in his arms, rocking me to make sure I didn’t cry so that he didn’t miss a minute of the Archers.
I have loved it ever since. Back when I was young, there was a lot more farming information. Farmers and vets talking about how to treat blue tongue disease, etc. There’s less of that now. The Archers manages to tackle the issues current in society in a thoughtful, intelligent manner.
Here’s to many more years of this charming series.”
