A great source of information about array languages
To my knowledge, this is the first podcast devoted solely to array-based programming languages. These languages descended from Ken Iverson’s APL and include (in addition to APL) J, K, Q and a few others. These languages have fallen out of favor (partly because the learning curve is quite steep) but they are poised for a comeback. Array languages allow you to write code in a fraction of the amount of code you would need in more traditional languages, and the code can often be strikingly beautiful as well. If you’ve heard about these languages and a want to learn more, this podcast is a great resource.

More reviews of The Array Cast
The presenters have genuine, infectious excitement about array programming languages. I applaud the efforts to bring more as you say “esoteric” programming language discussion into an easily accessible format and I look forward to future episodes!
